Lagoon Day #2 and other stuff!!

So yesterday, My sister Alison, 2 friends of mine and I went to Lagoon again! It was lots of fun!! We went on this ride called, The Wicked! You went straight up and straight down along with some other big twists and turns. You can look it up if you like. The MAIN highlights of my stay at Lagoon were the 2 shows: Broadway Corner and The Great American Jukebox. The Broadway one is self explanatory. Filled with fun songs from different Broadway Musicals. One of the songs is called Aldolpho from the Drowsy Chaperone. The guy that was singing this song was keep on looking at me. In the middle of the song, he pointed at me and signaled me to call him. It was so funny. When he did that, the whole audience turned and looked at me. It was great fun. Then, I saw part of this same show the second time around for a little bit. When they were doing the Mama Mia Medley, this same performer, BJ saw me and was keep on looking at me and smiling. It was funny. I had a blast. The Great American Jukebox consists songs from todays hits as well as songs from Michael Jackson. They also did Cowboy Casanova from Carrie Underwood. They were really good.

This is the guy that was flirting with me! Lots of fun stuff.

Quite the Adventure

Yesterday, I went to Oneida river to float on a tube with some friends. It was a lot of fun! Singing while floating down the river was a lot of fun too...lol. I went through some wild rapids, rocks, dips and even "sort of" crashed into branches and trees. Let me tell you, the rapids and rocks didn't like me that much. Some rocks scraped my back and stabbed me in the bottom. I also went down this bid rapid with a huge rock (not by choice. It was hard controlling to where you were going.) Me and this other tube were attached with a rope. When I hit this big rapid, the other tube was on the other side of this rock. I got a rope burn on my neck because somehow I got tangled with the rope and by the force of the rapid, the rope snapped in half. After that happened a split second later, I dipped down this rapid and gallons of water went above me. Luckily, I maintained to stay on the tube or the river would have taken me along with it. It was quite the fun adventure. Once I told my sister Alison what happened, she said that I born to get hurt. Its so true. I am the accident prone in the family. Well here is the story for you today. Love to all.

Peace Out

My Way of Life

Lately I have been thinking about what and who have been helping me to be the person who I am today.

I have many people to thank. First, I have been raised by loving parents and grandparents. I couldn't ask for any other family to be with. My dad is one of my heros! He is the one to thank for introducing me to sports along with his brother Glenn. My dad is the one that would play sports with me outside. He is the one that would watch sportscenter with me while hearing my sisters complain in the background saying how boring the show was. We also went to many Dodger and Angels baseball games! We also fit a Jazz game in there too. I loved sports when I was little so much that I got up early Saturday mornings to beat my sisters to the tv so I can watch that show at 6am. My love of soccer continued, so I played in AYSO in Santa Paula, CA. I remember I was part of the soccer team called Purple Lightning. I was around the 5th/6th grade when I played. Not going to lie, I was embarrassed because I wasn't that good at the start, but I didn't give up. My first position was Middle fielder. Then by out of the blue at practice, I volunteered to be goalie because our goalie was gone. I surprised myself of how I was doing. Then at the next game, I started to be goalie for a half of the game. Then sometimes I played the whole game. Our team did so well, we ended up 2nd place and went to the playoffs and played other city teams. Then it was time for the coaches to get together to choose who was going to be on the All-Star team. I couldn't believe, I was chosen to be one of the two goalies to be on the team. I was so happy with myself. The game I will never forget went like this. I was played as goalie for the 2nd half. The score was still tied. Then my coach had me play the first overtime. Score still tied. 2nd overtime, still tied. Then it was time for the penalty kicks. I had the worst butterflies ever when I was chosen to be the goalie. Both teams made the same amount of goals. This was the last one. It was up to me to block this last kick. If it made it past me, then it would be a 2nd round of kicks. I never concentrated so much in my life. The whistle blew, I heard the kick. Had my eyes on the ball. Then my hands blocked the shot. I couldn't believe it. My team won. I was so HAPPY. I felt like a hero for that game because everybody was depending on me. Oh it was such a beautiful feeling I will never forget. I found out that my team played on Sundays. It was a hard decision because I absolutely love soccer. But I knew Heavenly Father would be proud of me to go to church instead. So I did just that. I knew I had many blessings come my way because I chose to go to church.

I also had a big passion for basketball. It turned out well, because I was keep on growing. I was a co-captain on the JV basketball team my freshman year. I had a total blast. I was the only Mormon on my team, but it didn't affect me. But at the same time, I had a lot things expected of me. I learned to stand up for what I believed in. I loved my coaches and teammates. They are the best to be around. I went through big trials though. Getting hurt a lot didn't help out either. It was tough not playing, but all I could do was cheer really loud for my teammates. I also had the opportunity to play Varsity that year too. It was a lot of fun. I learned a lot. I also was a starter on the Varsity team during the summer league after my freshman year. It was quite the experience. My love for sports will never go away.

As some of you know, I am in love with performing arts(Musical Theatre). It was the "cool" thing to be part of when I attended Orem Elementary School. My first role was an orphan! It was a lot of fun! Then I just did choir for several years, but when I reached high school, I did the tech stuff. I was also part of A Midsummer Nights Dream. I was the tallest fairy out there. I was proud of it too!! The stage was held outside too! Lots of fun! I was also part of an Improv Theatre Team in high school! I loved being part of that because it always made me laugh no matter what happened. My sophomore year, I moved to Spanish Fork High School. I was part of stage crew for 7 brides for 7 bros. That is where I met a lot of my friends. So many memories. My junior year, I wasn't really part of anything because I moved to another school, Sky View High. But in my senior year, I was part of the Variety Show where we sang and danced to many songs. One of my favorite songs were to dance the hip hop to "We will rock you." Then college came and I was a techie for a production about Joseph Smith. My appreciation for him has increased after being part of that. I am now playing the guitar and piano.

I am the one with the yellow shirt on the left. This is the High School Theatre team in CA.

Now these are some of the main highlights from when I was younger. Sports and performing arts will always be who I am.

The main thing I have to thank who helped me to be the person I am today is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Being part of this religion has taught me many things. It has taught me to serve others and get out of my comfort zone. By serving others has helped me be a happier person. The thing that makes me happy is to see others happy. I have come to realize that by having joy and happiness in my life has made my life a lot easier and has increased my love to everyone. I have also come to realize that I care for people. I care for their well-being, happiness and how they are doing. So whenever I ask people how they are doing, I really do mean what I say. I care for all people even though I don't know them personally. Its just who I am. I think its a God given gift that I have. Which is to be compassionate. I am thankful for my trials. It may be hard to believe, but sooner or later we all can benefit from our trials. Even though they may be hard to bear. Lastly, I have come to realize that Life is so special and brief. I have come to a conclusion that why waste life? We only have one life here on earth, so might as well make it a good one. A happy one. A life where we can find joy and happiness and help those that are in need. A life where we can look back and say, "I wouldn't regret anything."
