Joy In the Journey

The phrase, "Joy in the Journey" has been going through my mind a lot lately. We all face hardships and trials in our lives. Yes, our trials and hardships can be very hard to go through. It is never easy. I learned by finding Joy in the Journey in our lives can make our time through trials much easier. And I have the United States Women's National Soccer Team (USWNT) for teaching me to bring joy in the journey in my life.

This amazing group of women are an answer to my prayers. They are the ones that taught me to have joy throughout life no matter what happens. They have so much love and respect for each other on and off the field. As well to their fans. This is why I LOVE them so much. Through their happy times, they stuck together. Through their sad times, they stuck together and showed me to always smile no matter what the situation may be. Truly thankful! :)

Throughout our lives, we must deal with change. Some changes are welcome; some are not. There are changes in our lives which are sudden, such as the unexpected passing of a loved one, an unforeseen illness, the loss of a possession we treasure. But most of the changes take place subtly and slowly. Trials in our lives come regardless of our circumstances. We must deal with them the best we can. But we should not let them get in the way of what is most important—and what is most important almost always involves the people around us. Often we assume that they must know how much we love them. But we should never assume; we should let them know. Let us relish life as we live it, find joy in the journey, and share our love with friends and family. that we may adapt to the changes in our lives, that we may realize what is most important, that we may express our gratitude always and thus find joy in the journey. Remember to LIVE LAUGH LOVE.

Love,

Laurel G.
